Sunday, Aug. 13, is the final check-out day for the OSL Library’s “Build a Better World” Summer Reading Program. Kids (through high school) have been building their domino city by checking out books since June 4. Your checkout receipt will make you eligible for a $5 weekly prize drawing. At the program’s completion, the two youths who have read the most books and accrued the most domino city dots will receive a grand prize!
The Market for Hunger is back! Beginning on Aug. 13, produce will be available every Sunday, from 9:45 to 11:00 a.m., for a freewill donation, which will be used to fight hunger. Coffee will be for sale at that time, too. Produce is donated by local growers; if you have fresh garden produce to contribute, bring it to the Market for Hunger table in The Gathering Place on Sunday mornings.
