Here’s your look at some of the things happening at Our Savior’s. See the current bulletin announcements at oslchurch.com for all the latest!
Thanksgiving Eve worship will be next Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 6:30 p.m., in the Sanctuary. No programs or activities will be held that evening. The Church Office will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, and no activities will take place at OSL.
The Angel Tree is up now, near the south entrance. Select a name off the tree by Dec. 3 and bless an area child from Lutheran Social Services, Children’s Home Society, Bowden Youth Center, or Volunteers of America who otherwise may not receive a gift this Christmas. Drop your gift off in the Church Office by Dec. 10. Thank you for making someone’s Christmas joyous!
Help make lefse! OSL’s Women of the ELCA are looking for volunteers to help mix lefse dough this Friday, Nov. 17, from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. (about five people), and Saturday, Nov. 18, from 9:00 a.m. until noon, to roll lefse balls, grill, and package. Bring your lefse grill, turning sticks, pastry board, cloths, and rolling pin. Everyone is welcome; no experience required! Come for fun, good fellowship, making new friends, and sampling lefse! Fudge may be dropped off at OSL on Dec. 10, or you may take it directly to East Side Lutheran Church from Dec. 11 through 15. Questions? Call Donna Wilson, 371-1518.
During this season of thankfulness, be sure to view the Stick Together Mosaic being built in the Library to reveal one of God’s many blessings. Since this fall reading program began, over 1,800 stickers have been placed on the mosaic, one for each item patrons have checked out since Sept. 10. Can you guess what the image will be?
The Advent Fair will be on Nov. 29, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Come make some beautiful crafts and enjoy a wonderful meal. All ages are welcome! Children must have a caring adult with them.

Socks for Christmas: OSL is helping the SIGH (Stepping into Good Health) Foot Care Clinic again this year by collecting new socks for the under-served and homeless in the community. Contributions of women’s crew socks and diabetic stockings are especially welcome. Items must be new, any design or color. Place them in the large red Christmas stocking in the donation area near the Library throughout December.
It’s almost time again for Midnight Madness, when OSL invites Augustana University students to come over for an evening of study, relaxation, recreation—and pizza!—as they prepare for finals. This semester’s Midnight Madness will be on Sunday, Dec. 10, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight, and there are many opportunities for you to help. Stop at the table in The Gathering Place or contact Loretta Nelson, firstname.lastname@example.org 336-2942, ext. 14, to see how you may donate your time, food, or financial gifts for pizzas. Thank you for your support of OSL’s Augie neighbors.
Men of God: OSL’s Men’s Bible Breakfast group will be joining in fellowship and Bible study with the Lutheran Men in Mission group, starting in December. The combined group will meet on the first and third Saturday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in the Office Conference Room, beginning on Dec. 2. A continental breakfast is provided by members at each gathering. Men of all ages are invited to attend this one-hour Bible study. For more information, contact Pr. Tim Lemme, 336-2942 or email@example.com.
