Here’s your look at some of the things happening at Our Savior’s. See the current bulletin announcements at oslchurch.com for all the latest!

The Church Office will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. No events or activities will take place at Our Savior’s that day.
OSL’s TV broadcast on KTTW (cable channel 9) will be pre-empted by sports events on July 1. An alternative broadcast may be found at facebook.com/oslchurchsf and oslchurch.com. There may be additional schedule interruptions, so, um, stay tuned.
Wellness Wednesdays in the Park will take a break on July 4, then continue through July 25 at 9:00 a.m. at Lower Tuthill Park shelter and playground. (The group will relocate to OSL in case of inclement weather.) These informal discussions are for all ages and stages—come as your summer schedule allows—and will begin with a short scripture reflection followed by conversation. Questions? Contact Michelle Anderson (mianderson@oslchurch.com or 336-2942, ext. 28) or Deb Harlan (336-2942, ext. 49, or dharlan@oslchurch.com).

A Little Further Out...

The OSL Library’s summer One Church One Read title will be Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman. Be sure to check out a copy in the Library, then join the discussion on Sept. 23 in the Conference Room.
“This Changes Everything,” Lutherans Outdoors Day Camp, will be at OSL July 9 through 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., for students who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade. NeSoDak staff will bring Bible study, games, worship, arts and crafts, and more. There will be a pizza party kick-off on July 8 at 5:00 p.m., with the final program on July 12 at 2:30 p.m. Register at oslchurch.com/childrens or in The Gathering Place. Cost: $50 per student. Friends are welcome.
“Mess-tival” will be the theme for the next OSL Summer Blast—an evening of food, fun and games, and outdoor worship. Last month’s rainstorm didn’t deter Summer Blasters at all, but it did cause the Third Annual OSL Car and Motorcycle Show to be moved to this month’s Blast, so be sure to come over and check out the classic vehicles! The fun starts at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11. Bring a friend!
The next Footcare Clinic will be on Wednesday, July 11, in the Caring Ministries area. Call the Church Offi ce, 336-2942, to schedule your appointment with a Sanford footcare nurse. Footcare Clinics are held at OSL on the fi rst Wednesdays of each month. Questions? Contact Michelle Anderson, RN, Faith Community Nurse, 336-2942, ext. 28, or mianderson@oslchurch.com.
Reading Rocks!, the OSL Library’s summer reading program, will run through Aug. 5. Each day they check out items, children through adults will receive a treat and submit their checkout receipt into a contest to determine which child, youth, and adult read the most books during the nine-week program. The Library will track and display the number of books read throughout the summer.

Opportunities and Things to Note...

OSL supports the Food To You Mobile Food Pantry by donating various food items throughout the year, which will be used by local families in need. The food item for July will be macaroni and cheese. Donations may be placed in the marked bins near the south entrance, by the Library.
This summer’s Noisy Offering will be given to two agencies that are making an impact in the lives of children in our community: the Hope Coalition and Project SOS–Supply Our Students. The Hope Coalition is determined to make preschool accessible for all children, and Supply Our Students is working to provide every student with the necessary school supplies. Thank you for your generous support, and thank you to OSL kids, who play an important role in making the Noisy Offering happen each week.
As a site for the Summer Food Service Program, OSL will be open through Aug. 17 for children through age 18 to enjoy free, nutritious lunches, Monday through Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in Fellowship Hall. Parents, babysitters, or caring adults should accompany their children. There’s no sign-up, no forms, and no requirements. All are welcome. Questions? Pr. Sami, sjohnson@oslchurch.com or 336-2942, ext. 12.
Even as people are traveling and vacationing this summer, OSL continues its commitment to Meals on Wheels. Can you help deliver meals on some open days in July and much of August? If you can, contact Sandy Garnas, 338-5440. Training is provided for first-time volunteers in this important ministry!
