Open Scripture. Join the Conversation
There is no better time than summer to study the Bible. The rhythm of life, at least for many of us, seems to allow time to do things we otherwise find difficult to fit into full schedules.
Because of that, Pr. Randy will be offering a six-week Bible study, “Growing the Church God’s Way: A Study of Ephesians,” beginning on July 24. The class will meet in the Conference Room from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Light snacks and beverages will be served. A $10 donation will help cover the cost of materials.

Synod Assembly Success
More than 500 voting members, guests, and friends visited OSL on May 31, June 1, and June 2 for the 2018 South Dakota Synod Assembly. OSL staff, synod staff, and an army of volunteers worked to make the event a big success—thanks to all who helped!
Next year’s assembly will be at OSL again, and will include the election of a new bishop. As part of that process, you are invited to take a survey about desired attributes for the bishop. Visit https://surveys.elca.org/scripts/rws5.pl?FORM=3CSBE to complete the survey, by August 1. Survey results will be available on December 1.
Thanks to Pr. Greg Johnson, Beaver Valley Lutheran, Brandon, for the photo of the assembly’s opening worship service.
