Call Committee Update
The call committee has continued meeting with potential lead pastor candidates through December and is focused on a candidate of choice. The call committee is in the process of confidential discussions with that candidate and church leadership to hopefully issue a letter of call in the near future. Please continue praying for this process, our church leadership and the candidate in their time of discernment.

New Office Hours
Starting Thursday, Jan. 2, the church office hours will be:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Upcoming Events
Congregational Forums
Two congregational forums will be held this weekend. One will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 6 p.m. and the other will be held on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 10 a.m. There will be a brief update on call process, update on the Implementation Taskforce, and other updates.
Organ Meditation Hour
Chris Larson will be playing the organ on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. at OSL. Enter, sit, and listen in meditation or prayer, and leave all in silence.
Congregational Annual Meeting
The annual meeting will be held on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 12 p.m. A potluck will be held during.

Tote Bag Giveaway
The Creation Care Ministry will be giving away tote bags on Sunday, Jan. 26, the day of the Congregational Annual Meeting.
Need A Friend? Be A Friend!
LSS Better Together Program helps people 65 and older maintain or reinvigorate connections. We match older adults called a “Neighbor,” with a trained volunteer.
Neighbors and their assigned volunteers meet four hours a month to share a meal, go to a play, visit a park, watch a movie or grab a coffee and chat, among other activities.
If you want to meet a new friend, consider being a part of the LSS Better Together Program.
LSS staff will meet with you and get an idea of your interests and needs before matching you with a volunteer.

Ways to Help
Help OSL Pay Off New Sound System!
Our 15 year old sound system required major work in December costing almost $30,000 and the new equipment is already installed. Please consider helping OSL pay for this unexpected expense with any monetary gift. We’ve already received $4,200 and pray that the remaining $25,800 will be raised by our generous community.
Toilet Paper Drive
It is the kick off to our annual toilet paper drive for Necessities for Neighbors! Please bring toilet paper to the church office before Sunday, Feb. 2. Last year, each family received a full package, versus having to repackage it into 4 & 6 rolls groups! In 2024, we filled up Pastor Tim’s truck and 3 mini vans!
Lutheran Outdoors Needs Our Help!
We have been asked to put a work team together to head out to Klein Ranch Bible Camp from May 22 to 25, 2025 to get it fixed up and ready to re-open for campers. This multi-generational servant trip would:
- Work during the day (plumbing, carpentry, general cleaning)
- Fish Jake’s dam before supper!
- ampfires at night.
- Senior High youth on up…
- NO COST to go!
- We will cook our own meals (a cook along would nice!)
- 12-15 workers. Sign up on youth bulletin board

Help Resettlement of New Americans through Lutheran Social Services
Be a full or partial sponsor of a family new to our country.
A full sponsor will:
- Greet the family at the airport.
- Set up their home.
- Provide for rent and utilities for four months
- Orient the family to the community
- Practice English with the family
- Assist in job placement

Cookie and Bar Donations
Love baking? The Food Ministry team accepts cookie and bar donations to keep in the freezer for confirmation dinners on Wednesday nights and Sunday morning coffees. Please bring to Debbie Theis in the office!
Warming Hearts
Hats, scarfs, mittens are being collected to donate to students at Susan B. Anthony Elementary. Drop off these items at the office. Donations will be delivered in January 2025.
