Saturday Morning Bible Study
Join us each Saturday morning, Feb. 1, 8, 15, 22, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Conference Room as we embark on a one-month study of the Gospel of Matthew. Using the Book of Faith materials, we will dive deep into a conversational study of the gospel, using Devotional, Historical, Literary, and Lutheran understandings of this wonderful gospel that tells the story of the life and ministry of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Coffee and treats will be provided. Books are still available for those who would like to purchase one. Contact Pr. Tim with more questions (tlemme@oslchurch.com).
Need A Friend? Be A Friend!
LSS Better Together Program helps people 65 and older maintain or reinvigorate connections. We match older adults called a “Neighbor,” with a trained volunteer.
Neighbors and their assigned volunteers meet four hours a month to share a meal, go to a play, visit a park, watch a movie or grab a coffee and chat, among other activities.
If you want to meet a new friend, consider being a part of the LSS Better Together Program.
LSS staff will meet with you and get an idea of your interests and needs before matching you with a volunteer.
Call us at 605-444-7803 to get started.

Help With Wildfire Relief
As you know, over the last week, multiple wildfires have broken out across Los Angeles County in California, destroying homes, businesses and leading to injuries and tragic loss of life. Lutheran Disaster Response is coordinating with the Southwest California Synod and Pacifica Synod to assess the needs of people impacted by the wildfires. We will work with them to address immediate needs and assist with recovery efforts for months and years to come. If you would like to help, please consider giving to LDR by writing a check and placing in in our offering plates at our Saturday or Sunday morning, worship services, just place them in the offering plates as well. You can also give on line directly by going to Lutheran Disaster Response.
