Free Augustana Softball Games

Easter Egg Hunt
Bring your little ones to an Easter Egg Hunt for children aged 3 and under on April 13! Join us in the Frolic Room from 10:15 to 10:50 a.m. for a morning filled with fun, excitement, and plenty of surprises. Don’t miss out on the festive fun!
Meeting for Easter Ushers and Communion Servers
Pastor Tim will hold a brief meeting on Palm Sunday, April 13, at 10:30 a.m. in the office conference room to review Holy Week and Easter worship plans with Ushers and Communion Servers. Sign-up sheets for these services are available in the ushers’ closets and at the Welcome Center. We need at least two ushers for the Maundy Thursday and Good Friday evening services, as well as for the Easter Sunrise service at 7:00 a.m., Celebrate worship at 8:45 a.m., and Festive worship at 11:00 a.m. Thank you for your help in making these services meaningful!
Palm Sunday Pageant
The Sunday School Youth will perform a special Palm Sunday skit during the Festive Service at 11 a.m. on April 13. Come and celebrate this meaningful day with a heartfelt performance by our talented youth!
Heartland Handbells Spring Concert
On Sunday, April 13 at 3:00 p.m. Heartland Handbells will present their spring concert in the Sanctuary. OSL members Ellen Smook and Gene LeVasseur are members of Heartland Handbells. Admission is free! Come for one hour to hear handbells, percussion, flutes, clarinets, and tuba celebrate spring!
5th Grade Milestone: Holy Communion
Join us as we celebrate the 5th graders and their milestone of Holy Communion during the Maundy Thursday Service on April 17 at 6:30 p.m. This special moment marks an important step in their faith journey. All are welcome to attend and support them on this meaningful occasion.
No Sunday School on Easter Sunday
There will be no Sunday School on April 20 due to Easter celebrations. Enjoy this special day with your family and loved ones as we celebrate the joy of the resurrection!
ABC with Kristie!
A Book & Coffee
Join us for ABC with Kristie, featuring Julie Elmen, daughter of Rita and Bob Elmen, and editor of Bob’s book, Fifteen Fortunes. The event will take place at 1:00 p.m. in the OSL Community Library on Thursday, April 24. Attendees will receive a free copy of the book and have the opportunity to participate in a book talk. Space is limited to 10 participants, and reservations can be made by calling (605) 336-2942.

OSL Annual Twins Game Trip
Sign up now for the OSL Annual Bus Trip to a Twins Game on June 26, 2025! The bus will depart at 7:00 a.m. and return around 9:00 p.m. A light morning treat and drink will be provided on the way, with one short rest break during the drive. This is a one-day trip, traveling up and back the same day. The cost is $135 per ticket, which includes transportation and one ticket to the game.
Seats will be in the shade behind home plate, and lunch will be available at the stadium. We will also stop for dinner on the way home (dinner is not included in the cost).

Easter Plants
Easter plants will beautify our worship services on Easter Sunday, April 20. If you would like to honor a special person or occasion, remember a loved one or friend, or show gratitude for God’s many blessings, please stop at the Welcome Center in the Gathering Place during the weekend or in the church office during the week. Record your name and the person or occasion you are honoring, submit a payment of $15, and it will appear in the bulletin inserts on Easter Sunday and the Intercom in May. The deadline is April 14. Plants may be picked up any time after the services on Easter Sunday.

Susan B. Anthony Elementary is looking for volunteers to help quiz their students on the morning of Friday, April 11! Klein Ranch Servant Trip Update: Volunteers Secured, Now Focused on Fundraising
We are excited to announce that we have gathered all the volunteers needed for the upcoming Klein Ranch Servant Trip! With the volunteer spots filled, we are now turning our attention to raising the remaining $6,500 needed to support the trip and purchase essential supplies for restoring the camp.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, we’re already about halfway toward reaching our fundraising goal. Your continued support is greatly appreciated as we work to make this mission trip a success and make a meaningful impact on the camp’s restoration.
VBS Decorating/Prop Making
VBS Decorating and Prop Making will take place on Sundays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the youth room, starting April 27! This is an open invitation for anyone and everyone to come help make VBS extra special. Your creativity and hands-on support will make a big difference—hope to see you there!
4th Grade Volunteers Needed for Agape Meal

Join Us for Feeding South Dakota
Our Savior’s is organizing a volunteer event at Feeding South Dakota on Monday, May 5, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., requiring 20 volunteers to assist with packing backpacks, boxes, and other essential items at their north Sioux Falls location. To participate, please provide your full name, phone number, and email address for registration at the Welcome Center. Following the volunteer session, participants are invited to extend the fellowship with a lunch gathering at the Blue Rock Cafe. This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the community and share in camaraderie.
Warm Welcomes
Exciting news for those looking to make a difference in their community! Conference Dean Siri Sorenson has announced the launch of “Warm Welcomes,” a new initiative focused on providing hospitality and support to immigrant and refugee neighbors at LSS programs in Sioux Falls. This program, stemming from discussions at a recent rostered leaders meeting, aims to create a welcoming environment at the multicultural center and Center for New Americans. Volunteer training sessions are scheduled for Thursday, April 24 at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 26 at 10:00 a.m. at the Center for New Americans (300 E. 6th St.). This is a fantastic opportunity to extend a helping hand and build bridges within the community.
