Friendship Club Christmas Trip to Nora
Join the Friendship Club for a trip to Nora, SD on Dec. 3 to enjoy the old-time country sights and sounds of Christmas! The “Old Country Store” hosts a variety of Christmas traditions like singing holiday songs around a restored vintage pipe organ, sharing Christmas stories, enjoying cider, coffee, and treats around a woodburning stove.
Everyone will travel together after a Christmas lunch at the church at noon and return to the church around 4:30 to 5:00 p.m. Cost of transportation is $25 per person and suggested lunch offering of $6. Sign up to reserve your spot on the bus at the Welcome Center or by calling or stopping by the church office.
Wednesday Advent Worship and Lunch
Beginning Wednesday, Dec. 4, OSL will be having a noon worship service with a light lunch. This will occur every Wednesday during Advent. A donation of $7 is suggested to cover lunch expense.
Christmas Program Set Up
Calling all artists of all levels and ages! Help us construct props and the set for the Christmas Program on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. AND on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Food will be provided during these times!
Family Movie Night!
All are invited to our Family Movie Night on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the Holyword Theater! The featured movie is “The Star.” Bring your own beverages; popcorn will be provided!
Congregational Forum
A congregational forum will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 10 a.m. ACE Academy will give a presentation about their school in addition to other Governing Board highlights.
Tom Roberts to Visit
The OSL Community Library invites you to our Sunday services on Dec. 8, at 8:45 a.m. & 11:00 a.m. as author Tom Roberts shares “Kid Talk” with our children and members. Tom will read from one of his well known Christmas books and then enjoy coffee & fellowship in the Gathering Space between services. All are welcome! Tom’s books are available for checkout in our library!
Midnight Madness
Area students are invited to relax at Our Saviors before Finals Week on Sunday, Dec. 8 from 6 p.m. to MIDNIGHT!
Free food, quiet study space, and an open gym will all be available to students.
OSL Blood Drive
Save a life, give blood!
Donate at OSL on Wednesday, Dec. 11 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
A $15 Texas Roadhouse gift card will be given to every donor!

Advent Suppers
Soup and pie will be served on Wednesday, Dec. 11 and Wednesday, Dec. 18 from 5 to 6:15 p.m. A donation of $7 is suggested to cover food costs.
Christmas Potluck
The Ladies of OSL will be hosting a Christmas Potluck on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 11:30 a.m. in the Gathering Place. Bring your favorite dish and enjoy Christmas music from Christopher Larson! Please sign up at the Information Desk.

Sunday School Christmas Program
The Sunday School children of Our Savior’s Lutheran will perform their Christmas program on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 11:00 a.m.
Christmas Eve Dinner
OSL will be hosting a Christmas Eve dinner on Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. in the Friendship Room.
The Food Ministry team asks the congregation to donate Christmas goodies. Sign up at the front desk in the office!
Opportunities
Poinsettias for Christmas!
Poinsettias will beautify our worship spaces during our Christmas services. If you would like to honor a special person or occasion, remember a loved one or friend, or show gratitude for God’s many blessings, please stop at the Welcome Center in the Gathering Place today or in the church office during the week. Submit your name and the person, occasion, or blessing you are honoring, along with your payment of $15, and their names will appear in the bulletin insert on Christmas Eve. Plants may be picked up after the Christmas Eve worship services.

Ways to Help
Cookie and Bar Donations
Love baking? The Food Ministry team accepts cookie and bar donations to keep in the freezer for confirmation dinners on Wednesday nights and Sunday morning coffees. Please bring to Debbie Theis in the office!
Angel Tree
OSL’s Angel Tree is supporting LSS children in foster care. Choose a card from the tree and return a present for them by Thursday, Dec. 12. Bring to the office, unwrapped, with card taped on. Suggested amount to spend on each child is $25 to $30.
Warming Hearts
Hats, scarfs, mittens are being collected to donate to students at Susan B. Anthony Elementary. Drop off these items at the office. Donations will be delivered in January 2025.
Help Feed South Dakotans
12,500 South Dakotan families are turning to Feeding South Dakota every month for food assistance. That number grows over the holidays.
Consider donating to help feed fellow South Dakotans!
A gift of $25 will provide 75 meals. A gift of $35 will help provide 105 meals.
