My Heart Shall Sing graphicMy Heart Shall Sing, Our Savior’s Advent series, utilizes resources from Barn Geese Worship, “the offshoot of a small community of pastors who have been meeting every summer for the last five years to brainstorm around the coming liturgical year.” That small community includes Pr. Justin Kosec. Here’s what they have to say about My Heart Shall Sing: “In this series, we look to global Christian songs and hymns to explore the revelations of our lectionary texts. This music harmonizes our ancient texts and our contemporary stories. Each hymn or song offers an Advent proclamation for how we might prepare the way of the Lord.” Learn more at

The Tree of Remembrance, filled with beautiful ornaments, has a special meaning to OSL members who have lost a loved one, and has taken on even more meaning during the pandemic. The Tree of Remembrance now graces The Gathering Place, and you are invited to place an ornament on the tree to remember those you have lost.
Photo of Nativity setHey, kids! All of our gifts come from God, so let’s see how many we can offer back! Every time you check out a book during Advent, you’ll receive a little present to place at Baby Jesus’ feet at the Nativity in the Library.
