Photo of people holding handsOSL’s Memory Care Support Group for Caregivers meets weekly on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m., and has recently decided to resume outdoor meetings as weather permits. Meet on the south parking lot, near the picnic table under the trees. Bring your own lawn chair and beverages, and snacks if you wish. Masks will be optional since we physically distance ourselves outdoors. In case of bad weather, the group will meet in Fellowship Hall. Contact Michelle Anderson, RN, Faith Community Nurse, 336-2942, ext. 28, or with questions.
Woman knittingKnitting can be good for you—it can relieve stress, be a good way to cope, and decrease the risk of cognitive impairment as you age. If you enjoy knitting, or would like to learn, join the OSL knitters for a fun and relaxing time knitting with others. The group will meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, at 9:30 a.m., in the Oasis Room. COVID protocols will be followed.

Tim Lemme, or 336-2942.

Opportunities to Help

Photo of communion elementsIf you’ve been contemplating ways to serve your OSL community, consider serving as a communion team member or an usher—or both! If you were unable to fill out the card that was available in worship services for a couple weeks, just contact Gene LeVasseur, Director of Worship, 336-2942, ext. 40, or, and let him know you’re interested.

The Cupboard is now open on Wednesdays, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., and Sundays, from 8:45 to 11:00 a.m. Want to help? The Cupboard is currently in need of peanut butter; jelly; honey; any kind of beans; canned fruits; canned meats; beef jerky; pasta; pasta sauce; and shelf-stable juices and milk. You may leave your donations on the cart inside the south entrance. Thank you for your support of OSL’s Augie and USF neighbors!
