Opportunities and Things to Note...

Bags for the Homebound will be assembled on Saturday, May 18, and delivered on Sunday, May 19. This is a great way to help remind OSL members who are unable to regularly attend worship services that their church family cares about them. Sign up at the Information Center to help with assembly, delivery, or both. This is a great family activity, and is deeply appreciated by the recipients!
Vacation Bible School volunteers help create a safe and successful week! Sixth-graders through adults are invited to build relationships and get in on the fun by helping out, June 10 through 13, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Contact Melissa Nesdahl, mnesdahl@oslchurch.com.
Midnight Madness is coming! Twice a year, OSL rolls out the red carpet for our Augie neighbors preparing for finals, for an evening of relaxation, studying, and, of course, eating. This semester’s Midnight Madness will be on Sunday, May 19, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Sign up to help (volunteer, make homemade goodies, or contribute to the pizza fund) at the Information Center.
A big thank you to all the volunteers who delivered Meals on Wheels through the snow, cold, and ice of the past months! It’s time to think ahead to the spring/summer delivery schedule—why not consider helping in this important service to our community? Contact Sandy Garnas, 338- 5440. Training is provided for new volunteers!
OSL supports the Food to You Mobile Food Pantry by donating various food items throughout the year, which will be used by local families in need. The food item for May is peanut butter; for June it will be tuna and tuna helper. Donations may be placed in the marked bins near the south entrance, by the Library.
