Bags for the Homebound will be assembled on Saturday, May 18, and delivered on Sunday, May 19. This is a great way to help remind OSL members who are unable to regularly attend worship services that their church family cares about them. Sign up at the Information Center to help with assembly, delivery, or both. This is a great family activity, and is deeply appreciated by the recipients!
The Love in Action Core Ministry Team invites a few individuals interested in a service trip to Rosebud, to help build ramps, from June 20 through June 22. Participants will construct about four ramps to give elders much-needed handicap access to their homes. Spots are limited, so contact Pr. Justin ASAP if you’re interested: jkosec@oslchurch.com or 336-2942, ext. 44.
Vacation Bible School volunteers help create a safe and successful week! Sixth-graders through adults are invited to build relationships and get in on the fun by helping out, June 10 through 13, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Contact Melissa Nesdahl, mnesdahl@oslchurch.com.
Midnight Madness is coming! Twice a year, OSL rolls out the red carpet for our Augie neighbors preparing for finals, for an evening of relaxation, studying, and, of course, eating. This semester’s Midnight Madness will be on Sunday, May 19, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Sign up to help (volunteer, make homemade goodies, or contribute to the pizza fund) at the Information Center.
A big thank you to all the volunteers who delivered Meals on Wheels through the snow, cold, and ice of the past months! It’s time be thinking about the spring/summer delivery schedule—why not consider helping in this important service to our community? Contact Sandy Garnas, 338- 5440. Training is provided for new volunteers!
Being an usher is a great way to serve members, guests, and visitors. Openings are available for all worship services, especially at 11:00 a.m. Your schedule can be worked around. Contact Loretta Nelson, lnselson@oslchurch.com or 336-2942, ext. 14.
OSL TV Ministry has volunteer opportunities for all worship services! This is a fun, easy job, and the TV Ministry crew is great to work with. Contact Pr. Justin (jkosec@oslchurch.com or 336-2942, ext. 44), or just stop by TV Ministry (lower level) on a Sunday morning.
OSL supports the Food to You Mobile Food Pantry by donating various food items to help local families in need, and helping with food distributions.
