OSL will celebrate 30 years of Stephen Ministry this Sunday, Oct. 7! Come to The Gathering Place between worship services that morning for refreshments, information, and a presentation on Stephen Ministries throughout the years, plus information on how you too can become part of Stephen Ministries. Dr. Julie Kahl, former OSL pastor who was instrumental in bringing Stephen Ministries to Our Savior’s, will be on hand as well. For more information, contact Deb Harlan, Stephen Ministries Coordinator (dharlan@oslchurch.com or 336-2942, ext. 48) or Pr. Tim Lemme (tlemme @oslchurch.com or 336-2942, ext. 19).

Stop by from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m. for specialty coffee, treats, games, conversation, and time for renewal—and for this début, Pr. Justin will be making AeroPress coffee! There is no program, no agenda, simply drop in as you like. Sabbath Seekers will occur every first Sunday of every month.

OSL Food Ministry will serve breakfast this Sunday in The Gathering Place, starting at 9:30. On the menu: Scrambled eggs, bacon, roasted potatoes, donut holes, orange juice, and yogurt. Wednesday dinner continues this week too—turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, carrots, bread and butter, tossed salad, and dessert. Thank you for contributing to the freewill offering to help cover expenses.
The OSL Library’s Fall Reading Program, “We ‘FALL’ow Jesus,” will run through Oct. 28. Each day they check out items, children, youth, and adults will receive a treat and have their book receipt submitted for a chance to win a weekly $5 drawing. As the program continues, the Library’s Tree of Life display will show the beauty of God’s creation by its leaves of green turning to brilliant golds and reds, representing the ways God richly blesses and transforms us.
Come for a hearing screening and educational opportunity on Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m., in Caring Ministries. Dr. Kristen Kaufman of Audiology Specialty Clinic will conduct hearing screenings from 4:00 to 6:00 (all ages welcome), followed by Q&A time at 6:30 to discuss the newest technological interventions. Through weekly readings, a brief documentary-style video, guided discussion, and group activities, participants will learn to engage and navigate respectfully what can be a difficult subject, while reflecting on how our Christian faith leads us to respond to the plight of our neighbor in need.

The Blood Mobile will return to OSL this Sunday, Oct. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome.
