Offering of Letters
The first OSL Chili Cook-Off was held on
The OSL Board of Church in Society invites you to participate in Bread for the World’s Offering of Letters, which seeks to realize a world in which all of God’s children are fed. The goal is to create political will by urging policymakers to create pathways out of hunger and poverty. Come to the the northwest corner of The Gathering Place on May 7 to turn faith into action by writing letters to members of Congress. For more information, visit bread.org.
OSL Serves at the Banquet
These early-risers from Our Savior’s dedicated time, energy, and smiles to some 205 breakfast
clients at the Banquet on April 19. Seventeen of those served were children.
The Banquet is putting together a list of “Angels,” people who are willing to volunteer as they are needed. Contact the Banquet, 335-7066, for more information, or text ANGELS to (605) 413-1971 to receive volunteer-need updates and alerts.
The Banquet serves over 150,000 meals to Sioux Falls-area neighbors each year, Mondays through Fridays, at 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and on Saturdays at 11:30 a.m.
