Greetings, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church!
I am Madeline Trosvig, and I am thrilled to join your community as the Faith Formation Coordinator. Born and raised in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, my journey eventually led me to South Dakota, where I pursued studies in religion and classics at Augustana University.
My upbringing in the ELCA has profoundly shaped my faith and values. My involvement with Lutheran Outdoor Ministries camps began at the age of 12, and I continued attending until I aged out and transitioned to a counselor role at two different camps. These experiences were transformative and solidified my desire to work with youth in a Christian setting. During my time at Augustana, I further nurtured this passion by serving as the Coordinator of Faith Formation for high school-aged youth, a role I cherished deeply.
After graduating in 2023, I embarked on a journey to Szeged, Hungary, where I lived and volunteered with the ELCA’s Young Adults in Global Mission program for ten months. There, I engaged with various programs of the Lutheran Church of Hungary, enriching my understanding of community and accompaniment.
These experiences have instilled in me a deep appreciation for the power of community and the impact of faith in action—values I am eager to bring to the youth at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. When I’m not at church or working, I enjoy swimming, crocheting, and spending quality time with family and friends.
I am excited to meet everyone and to contribute to the growth and strength of youth programming.
Warm regards,
Madeline Trosvig
