Pr. Greg Johnson has agreed to serve OSL as interim associate pastor, joining interim Senior Pastor Paul Svingen and Pr. Tim Lemme as OSL works through the transition process.
Pr. Greg has served as an ordained pastor for various congregations since 1986, and will be leading OSL’s youth faith formation team, including Sunday School, confirmation, and various youth groups, as well as assisting with general pastoral duties.

South Dakota has been the land upon which Greg has lived and served. Having attended Augustana University, Sioux Falls, (1978-1982), he went on to Luther-Northwestern Seminary in St. Paul, then returned to begin his work as parish pastor in 1986, accepting the call to serve Pollock Lutheran in Pollock, S.D., and Peace Lutheran in Herried, S.D. After this six-year call, he would go on to serve First Lutheran in Harvey, N.D.; Trinity Lutheran in Vermillion, S.D.; Trinity Lutheran in Tea, S.D., and most recently, Beaver Valley Lutheran in Valley Springs, S.D.

He and his wife, Nancy, have three grown and married daughters, all of whom live in South Dakota, and who have graced Greg and Nancy with eight grandchildren. Trips to the Black Hills to hike and travel the trails, reading, gardening, and treasuring family and friends are priorities.
