As the global COVID-19 crisis makes itself at home in South Dakota, here are some ways Our Savior’s is living out our Core Value of Service:

    • Our newly launched Campus Cupboard ministry to Augustana students will continue to receive donations and pack care packages to be distributed on-site to students at Augustana.

    • We will invest in our budding partnership with Susan B Anthony Elementary School by providing assistance to their hourly EA employees, the professionals hit hardest by the school closure.

    • We will continue to support our partner ministries on the frontlines of the crisis, such as Church on the Street, The Community Outreach, Helpline/211, Charis Ministry Partners, Feeding South Dakota.

    • We will continue to work hand-in-hand with our partners at Sanford to stock their Discharge with Dignity closet.

    • We will continue to proactively, creatively respond to other needs in our community as they arise.

As quickly as this crisis has struck, its after-effects will linger for much longer than we can understand. But Our Savior’s will continue to love and serve our neighbor in the days and months ahead.
