We Will Not Fear, by Erin Kaiser
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” Psalm 46:1–3
Fear seems to be growing more and more these days. Fear comes from many directions: the news, test results, death, money issues, and so on. This fear can over take lives.
Yet we come together, as a community of believers. Each of us has our own fear, whether stated out loud or buried deep in our hearts. Regardless of the story of how we got that fear, there is one person that can remove it: Jesus Christ.
Through Christ, Stephen Ministers are sent out to listen to your stories of fear, helplessness, despair, or any other feelings that you are encountering. Stephen Ministers are there to walk beside you in the darkness, into a light that comes through Christ. Through the worst of things, God is and will continue to be our refuge and strength, regardless of what the demands of this old world will throw at you.
