The Apostles’ Creed, Session Three: “We believe in the Holy Spirit…” by Tami Skorczewski
“But these are written so that you may come to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through believing you may have life in his name.” John 20:31
Bible Study. Opening Prayer: Blessed and holy Triune God, you have revealed yourself to the world as three persons—unified in substance, desire, divinity, and eternal existence. We ask now for the presence of the most mysterious and yet the most pervasive member, the Holy Spirit. Come, Holy Spirit, come and guide our study. Open our hearts and minds to deeper wisdom and greater faith. We ask this in Jesus’ holy name. Amen.
The Holy Spirit breathes chaos into order, bringing the whole of creation into line with God’s plan.
Closing Prayer: Holy Breath, Holy Hope, Holy Spirit, breathe on us and bring holy order to our hearts, our minds and our world. Amen. (Source: gathermagazine.org).
