The Intercom – May

We can never be fully prepared for everything we might face. That is true in life, and it is true in the church. What we can do is prepare ourselves so that we are able to respond as clearly , efficiently , and quickly as possible when challenges arise. Those moments come to our building as well. As temperatures pushed into the 80s this past week, we discovered that our largest HV AC unit is no longer working properly and has reached the end of its life. We appreciate your flexibility and patience, and we are confident that we can keep our worship spaces comfortable.

There is strong momentum in our congregation. Our library event, “Beyond the Books,” welcomed visitors from across the community . Worship attendance has grown over the past two months. Plans are underway for new youth ministry opportunities this fall. Our stewardship outlook is encouraging, and fifteen households will join our congregation the first weekend in May . There is real energy and growth here.

A broken air conditioner is not a setback so much as a reality of ministry and an opportunity to respond together . As we approach the end of our fiscal year in June, one way that you can help us respond is through continued giving to the general fund, trusting that if our gifts exceed our expenses, those resources will help prepare us for what comes next.

Thank you for the many ways you continue to show up with generosity and care. It makes a difference.

With gratitude, Pastor Michael Stadtmueller
