Worship

OSL is one community with two distinct styles of worship.

Festive worship is more traditional in form. During the summer, it’soffered in the Sanctuary on Saturdays at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 10:15. If you come in the south entrance, under the canopy, the Sanctuary will be to your left.

Celebrate worship is contemporary in style, and during the summer is offered on Sunday mornings at 8:45 and 10:30 in the Celebrate Center—to your right as you enter OSL via the south entrance.
To get an idea of what each style of worship offers, click the button below and check out recent videos of Festive and Celebrate worship services.

Or—even better—come by for worship and see how each format “feels” to you! There is always a place for you at Our Savior’s!

Music

Our Savior’s welcomes all singers and instrumentalists to participate in both Celebrate and Festive worship, whether as a soloist or by joining a group. All are welcome! Here’s what’s coming up this fall:

Bells of Our Savior’s rehearses on Tuesday evenings, 5:00-6:00, starting September 12; the bells ring at one service per month. This ensemble is for ages high school and above, and requires the ability to read music. Playing another instrument at some point in your life is helpful.

Our Savior’s Choir meets on Sunday mornings, 9:30–10:45, starting September 10, and leads singing three times a month at the 11:00 a.m. Festive service. (There will be two start-up rehearsals, on Wednesday, August 30, and Wednesday, September 6, at 6:30 p.m.) This is for everyone from high school and older who love God, people, and singing.

Cantors lead Festive worship services as a soloist or small ensemble (duets or quartets), and can rehearse on their own or arrange an appointment to rehearse with the accompanists.

Celebrate Band rehearses on Tuesday evenings, 7:00–8:00, and play at the 8:45 Sunday Celebrate service. Singers and all instruments are welcome!

Joyful Noize is a children’s worship team (grades 3 through five) that meets on Wednesday evenings, 5:30-6:15, starting on September 13. The group prepares something for worship every six weeks or so. We sing, play instruments, do skits, and create art projects, and have a lot of fun!
