Adult Learning
Throughout the year, Our Savior’s commits the work of planting faith, deepening the faith of adults.
Every Sunday is a sermon based upon the lectionary readings read around the world. Preaching and Teaching go hand in hand.
Often, between services, especially from September through May, guest speakers help us think deeply about forum topics.
Be a part of regular Bible studies. Sometimes a book of the Bible is chosen as the course of study. Sometimes, Pastors offer thematic studies ranging from as few as four weeks all the way to longer ten-to-twelve week study.
For the 2025-26 academic year, there will be three books selected for the congregation to buy, read and then join for group discussion. This fall, we will be reading the book, The Mercy Church, a collection of sermons and teachings by Pope Francis. During the month of September we will be taking names to place a bulk order for this book and then will gather at various times (pick the one that works for you) in the first half of November. Contact Pastor Greg with questions.
Also, each month a group of OSL members, who gather under the banner “Faith and Ferment,” meet to talk about social ministry concerns in our ever changing culture. Often, articles for books are used to further conversations. Faith and Ferment is both a learning and an action (discipleship) group open to all.
