Children and Youth

At Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, we believe faith formation is a lifelong journey that begins at birth. From our littlest ones to high school graduates, our ministry supports children and youth as they grow in faith, build community, and discover God’s love through every stage of life. Whether you’re rocking a newborn in the nursery or sending a teen off to Bible camp, you are not alone. Our Savior’s Lutheran Church is here to walk with your family every step of the way.

Faith Milestones

Our Milestone Ministry celebrates key faith moments in the lives of our children and youth, from receiving their first Bible and celebrating their first communion to learning to driving and graduating. These special events mark spiritual growth and invite families to participate more deeply in their child’s faith journey. Each milestone includes a class to learn together, followed by a blessing during worship. These moments are beautiful reminders that faith is formed in relationships—at church and at home.

Frolic (Infants and Toddlers)

Faith begins at birth! Our nursery is open during worship, and our Frolic program (birth-PreK) offers music, play, and connection for young children and parents. Milestones like Baptism and Caring Conversations invite families into a lifelong journey of faith.

Sunday School (Elementary Age)

Preschool through 5th grade kids experience the Good News through stories, crafts, songs, and prayer. Sunday School is a place where wonder grows and faith takes root. Join us on Sundays from 10:00-10:50 downstairs!

Confirmation (Middle School)

Middle schoolers dive deeper into Scripture, worship, service, and community through our three-year Confirmation program. It’s a time to ask big questions, wrestle with faith, and prepare to affirm their baptismal promises. Confirmands (6th-8th graders) meet from 6:00-7:00 PM and the 9th graders meet from 7:00-8:00 PM on Wednesdays.

Youth Group (High School)

Teenagers are invited to explore their identity in Christ through youth group nights, service projects, retreats, camp, and more. This is a safe and welcoming space to grow spiritually, build lasting friendships, and have fun!

We meet bi-monthly on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM.

SOSA Scholarship

The SOSA Scholarship (Study or Serve Award) is a unique opportunity for individuals of all ages connected to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church who feel called to grow in their faith, serve others, or explore ministry-related experiences within the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America).

Whether you’re attending Bible camp, serving as a camp counselor, enrolling in seminary or Christian education courses, or participating in other ELCA-affiliated programs, SOSA is here to support your journey.

Through this scholarship, OSL seeks to empower and encourage people to deepen their connection with God, develop leadership rooted in faith, and live out the Gospel through service and study.

We welcome applications from children, youth, and adults who are ready to step into new opportunities to serve or study in the name of our Savior.
