Unique mission opportunity—in Harrisburg! OSL mission partner Table of Grace is seeking two families or individuals to serve as Mission Households for a period of one year at Table of Grace. Together with mission households from other partner congregations, these OSL-commissioned “missionaries” will help provide a critical mass of people to this developing congregation in the Harrisburg School District. If interested, contact Pr. Randy or Pr. Justin, 336-2942.
Be an usher! Openings are available for all worship services. It’s a great way to serve your fellow OSL members! Contact Loretta Nelson, firstname.lastname@example.org or 336-2942, ext. 14.
Serve OSL TV Ministry as a camera operator on Sunday mornings—two openings now exist. It’s fun and easy, and a great way to help spread OSL’s ministry far and wide. Stop by the TV control room on the lower level on Sunday morning to join up. Training will be provided.
Here’s your chance to count! Every Monday morning, a group of dedicated volunteers meets to process the weekly deposit. Would you like to help count the offerings? The time commitment is two to three hours, but it is not a weekly commitment—counters who are available periodically during the year are encouraged to volunteer. Excel spreadsheet and/or 10 key experience is helpful but not required. For more information or to volunteer, call Barb Haugan, 336-2942, ext.23.
Caring Ministries has a volunteer opportunity for people to help greet members who are coming to the Footcare Clinic on the first Wednesday of each month. Opportunities exist in the morning, from 9:00 to noon, and afternoon, noon to 3:00. Contact Michelle Anderson, RN, Faith Community Nurse, 336-2942, ext. 28, or email@example.com, to help serve in this ministry.
The Caring Friends program expands OSL’s visitation program to members who are homebound or in nursing homes or care facilities. Currently, there are opportunities for Caring Friends at Luther Manor, Bethany Lutheran Home, and Grand Living at Lake Lorraine. To learn more, contact Pr. Tim Lemme, firstname.lastname@example.org or 336-2942, ext. 19, or Deb Harlan, email@example.com or 336-2942, ext. 48.
OSL ensembles offer many opportunities for you to share your gifts of music. Ensembles’ members pray together and strive to grow in faith through worship music. Contact Gene LeVasseur, Director of Worship, for more information: firstname.lastname@example.org..
